The Economic Development Corporation of Utah (EDCUtah) is excited to announce the following staffing changes.
Katherine Morrell has joined the Business Development Team as a Business Development Manager. A graduate of the University of Utah with a Master’s of City and Metropolitan Planning, Katherine started at EDCUtah in 2017 as a member of the Community Strategy team. As a Community Strategist, Katherine oversaw the Utah Mega Site Program, the EDCUtah Community Match Grants Program, and supported Alan Rindlisbacher with the Development Ready Communities (DRC) efforts.
Elvon Farrell has joined the Community Strategy team as the new Community Strategist. He started with EDCUtah’s Research team in 2019, with a Bachelor’s in political science from Brigham Young University. In that role, Elvon performed research for EDCUtah projects and supported the DRC program by providing community assessments to participating communities.
“Katherine and Elvon have both proven to be valuable members of the team and we are excited to see them step into their new roles,” said Theresa Foxley, president and CEO of EDCUtah. “We’re always happy when we can develop our talented staff and offer team members new opportunities.”
The Research team will be filling Elvon’s previous role of Research Analyst. EDCUtah will also be looking to add the new position of Program Analyst, to assist all departments with programing. For anyone interested in either position, the job descriptions are posted on our website.
