While we are feeling bittersweet about the news, we would like to wholeheartedly congratulate Mike Flynn, Chief Operating Officer, on his new role as Senior Director of Economic Development with Destination Medical Center (DMC) in Rochester, Minnesota.

Mike’s last day with EDCUtah will be September 4. With nearly two decades of economic development experience and a large portion of that time spent with EDCUtah, Mike has been invaluable to the organization in achieving its mission.

“We are grateful for Mike’s leadership. It has been instrumental in shaping EDCUtah into the organization it is today. His impact on our approach, our team, and our state has been considerable, and will be felt long into the future,“ said Theresa Foxley, president CEO. “We know he will do great work at his new position, and we wish him and his family the very best in their future endeavors.”

DMC is a 20-year economic development initiative and represents a $5.6 billion investment for the state of Minnesota. The investment will be used to help support the Mayo Clinic in Rochester become a global medical destination by building public infrastructure and other projects needed to support that vision.
