We are pleased to announce two new additions to our team and a promotion.
Welcome to Olivia Newbold, research analyst, who has taken the position previously held by Elvon Farrell. Olivia holds a degree in Economics and a minor in Mathematics from Westminster College, where she also competed as Division II soccer player. A native of Utah, Olivia likes rock climbing, skiing, and mountain biking.
And welcome to Jolly Karungi, program analyst, who will assist Business Development, Research/Marketing, and the Executive team with various support efforts. A native of the Congo, and raised in Uganda, Jolly (Jo' Lee) moved to Utah in 2014, where she earned a BS in Business Information Systems from the University of Utah. Fluent in multiple languages, she is interested in culture, and looks forward to learning more about economic development and business in general.
We congratulate Vlada Yaremenko for her promotion to Business Development Manager. She graduated from the University of Utah summa cum laude with a degree in International Studies and a minor in Music. Originally from Ukraine, she has lived in four different countries. She joined EDCUtah in 2019 as a Business Development Analyst.
“In the 21 months since her hire, Vlada has been diligent in her work to understand our business, immerse herself in our network, and develop the skill set required for the unique work of project management in economic development,” said Colby Cooley, Vice President of Business Development, “and she has done all of that with an impeccable attitude and great determination.”
