When it comes to project management, you’ve got an asset in EDCUtah’s Business Development team. The different activities the BD Team performs for clients include but are not limited to issuing Requests for Information (RFIs), coordinating research requests, arranging site visits and employer interviews, providing introductions to Utah communities and service providers, as well as tax incentive support, and media promotion.
Erin oversees recruitment and expansion projects in financial services, tech, and manufacturing/distribution projects. Erin has been instrumental in helping several fintech, tech, and financial services companies expand within or establish new operations in Utah, adding more than 18,000 jobs to the economy. Prior to EDCUtah, she worked in local finance and as a management consultant in Washington, D.C. for government agencies and the U.S. Senate.
Katherine Morrell-Moser oversees corporate expansion and recruitment in energy, data centers, heavy industrial, and agriculture. Previous to joining the business development team, Katherine developed and ran Site Ready Utah - a statewide land certification program - and supported the economic development goals of Utah communities through EDCUtah's community strategy program. With degrees in urban planning, she collaborates with public and private partners to shape Utah's future.
Jared oversees recruitment and expansion efforts across various sectors. Before joining EDCUtah, Jared worked for 8 years in the public sector. He has experience as a municipal economic development director and urban planner, and he built and led comprehensive economic development efforts at both the city and county levels. Outside of work, Jared enjoys cycling, skiing, rock climbing, and reading. He volunteers on the Salt Lake City Historic Landmark Commission and admires architecture.
Rex is an EDCUtah business development manager. He graduated from Brigham Young University (BYU) with a degree in finance. Prior to EDCUtah, he successfully created and exited his own business and worked in commercial real estate development. While at BYU, Rex was part of the Marriott School Student Council, Real Estate Association, and Ballard Center Social Venture Academy. Rex loves classic rock and exploring Utah's natural scenery through rock climbing, canyoneering, and camping.
Spencer oversees corporate recruitment and expansion in the manufacturing industries. Prior to joining the business development team, Spencer worked in the financial services industry. Spencer graduated from Ensign College with a BS in Finance with certificates in Accounting, Business Analytics, and Business Management. Spencer enjoys spending time with his wife, playing sports, watching Utah football, being outdoors, and being with friends.
As the director of community strategy, Greg leads EDCUtah's community development and Site Ready Utah initiatives. Previously, Greg worked for the University of Utah, building partnerships among the university, its students, and the real estate and financial services business community.
Jaime manages corporate expansion and recruitment projects to any of the Utah Inland Port Authority sites. Jaime has experience working in local economic development in Texas and regional economic development working for the Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce. Outside work, he enjoys playing strategy board games with friends and relatives.
