A Message From EDCUtah's President & CEO Concerning Covid-19

The EDCUtah management team has been closely monitoring the global Covid-19 situation for the last several weeks and planning various scenarios for how we will be able to keep our operations moving forward while maintaining the health and safety of our employees, partners, and clients.

Today, Governor Herbert and several experts delivered a press conference outlining measures to prevent community spread in the State of Utah. One of those recommendations was to ask business leaders to implement teleworking as soon as possible, if feasible. Although we enjoy and value our face-to-face meetings with our partners and clients, each of our employees are well set up to work at home and we intend to follow the request of Governor Herbert and the scientists, medical experts, and public health specialists. As such, the EDCUtah team will telecommute from home beginning tomorrow and ending on March 27. We are taking these precautionary measures to play our part in flattening the curve.

If you have a meeting scheduled with an EDCUtah staffer please expect an email or call from the meeting organizer with a dial in or video conference invite. We are also suspending all events through the end of the month. Please expect communication from the event organizer to reschedule for a later date. Furthermore, for the time being, we are moving Know the Customer interviews and Global Strategy & Outreach missions to virtual meetings.

The EDCUtah team will be online and available via email and cell phone. We know that communication will be critical between our team as we move to a virtual environment. Accordingly, we will have a daily all-hands phone call to ensure our team stays coordinated throughout the next two weeks. We will lean heavily on technology during this time.

A number of you have inquired about the impact of Covid-19 on our deal flow. At this point in time the impact is minimal; however, we will provide more regular updates regarding our deal flow, site visits, RFIs, and incentive applications throughout the Covid-19 period.

This is a dynamic situation and we will be prepared to modify our plans as additional information and guidance becomes available from expert sources. We encourage our investors to be cautious, stay safe, and consider what steps you and your organization can take to help prevent the spread of Covid-19. If you need to access any resources related to Covid-19, we encourage you to check the Centers for Disease Control website and the Utah Covid-19 website

Please reach out to me directly if you have any questions. Our thoughts will stay with those whose health has been impacted by this virus.
