Economic Development 101 Certification Course

Economic Development is a professional career not taught in a traditional college setting. This certificate is designed to educate new and seasoned economic development professionals in areas such as community development, business retention and expansion, strategic planning, real estate development, finance, entrepreneurship, neighborhood development strategies, workforce development, and marketing. The course runs on three Fridays (once per month for three months) with a culminating Thursday/Friday event.

Session 2 Fri, 9/8 Thanksgiving Point 8-5 pm Community Development & Strategic Planning CRAs/Incentives 

Session 3 Fri, 10/6 Thanksgiving Point 8-5 pm Community Development & Strategic Planning CRAs/Incentives 

Session 4 Th/Fri 11 /2 - 11/3 Heber - UVU Wasatch Campus Real Estate Development, Finance 3111 College Way, Heber, UT 84032 Thursday Night & Friday 

11/2 1-5 pm: Entrepreneurship Neighborhood Development Strategies Workforce Development. Thursday Night & Friday 

11/3 8-5 pm: Marketing & Wrap - Up
