As EDCUtah's president and CEO, Scott champions Utah's economic environment and quality of life. He takes great pride in leading a team of exceptionally skilled and committed professionals in catalyzing quality jobs, capital investment, and strategic economic opportunities in the Beehive State. He previously worked as a management consulting director with PwC, where he advised clients across several industries on multi-billion capital investment projects around the globe. In addition, he served as the COO and deputy executive director of The Point Utah, one of the largest and most compelling economic development projects in the country. Scott lives in Cottonwood Heights with his wife and three daughters. They enjoy hiking, skiing, and mountain biking.
scuthbertson@edcutah.orgJill is a CPA with diverse financial and operations experience, primarily in non-profit organizations. She joined EDCUtah in 2016, bringing a focus on compliance and financial systems. She enjoys attending concerts and traveling with her husband and three kids.

Greta introduced EDCUtah's first formal employee experience program in 2023, enhancing the organizational culture. Beyond work, she's either on pickleball courts, exploring brunch spots, or attending her favorite bands' shows.
ghepworth@edcutah.orgErika has more than 15 years of office management and executive assistant experience, with a diverse background in industries ranging from industrial equipment manufacturing to financial services. Erika's academic background includes studies in ballet, history, and architectural preservation at the University of Utah. She enjoys hiking, sailing, trail running, and quality time with her husband, four children, and her rescued cat and dog.
edean@edcutah.orgVal has extensive experience working in economic development, serving more than six years as head of the Utah Governor's Office of Economic Development and two years as president and CEO of the Utah Valley Chamber of Commerce. He spent a lot of time traveling the state and meeting with civic and business leaders. He enjoys golf, pickleball, woodworking and spending time with his 13 grandkids.
vhale@edcutah.orgErin oversees recruitment and expansion projects in financial services, tech, and manufacturing/distribution projects. Erin has been instrumental in helping several fintech, tech, and financial services companies expand within or establish new operations in Utah, adding more than 18,000 jobs to the economy. Prior to EDCUtah, she worked in local finance and as a management consultant in Washington, D.C. for government agencies and the U.S. Senate.
efarr@edcutah.orgKatherine Morrell-Moser oversees corporate expansion and recruitment in energy, data centers, heavy industrial, and agriculture. Previous to joining the business development team, Katherine developed and ran Site Ready Utah - a statewide land certification program - and supported the economic development goals of Utah communities through EDCUtah's community strategy program. With degrees in urban planning, she collaborates with public and private partners to shape Utah's future.
kmorrell@edcutah.orgRex is an EDCUtah business development manager. He graduated from Brigham Young University (BYU) with a degree in finance. Prior to EDCUtah, he successfully created and exited his own business and worked in commercial real estate development. While at BYU, Rex was part of the Marriott School Student Council, Real Estate Association, and Ballard Center Social Venture Academy. Rex loves classic rock and exploring Utah's natural scenery through rock climbing, canyoneering, and camping.

Prior to joining the business development team, Spencer worked in the financial services industry. Spencer graduated from Ensign College with a BS in Finance with certificates in Accounting, Business Analytics, and Business Management. Spencer enjoys spending time with his wife, playing sports, watching Utah football, being outdoors, and being with friends.

He is passionate about endurance racing, having completed a full-length Ironman triathlon and two trail run 50k races. Lucas will utilize his skills in modeling complex systems, interpreting data, and conducting predictive analysis in various projects for our team.

He was promoted to research manager in 2018 and now leads all EDCUtah research requests and projects. Father of two daughters and one son, Michael enjoys sports, reading, writing novels, board games, and exploring the outdoors. He also is lucky enough to enjoy dual citizenship after having been born in Madrid, Spain.
